PLANT TREES
... FOR A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE
Towards a healthier and more sustainable planet
During the first phase, on 2 different plots of land in the province of Jaen, Perú, on the border of the Amazon jungle of Peru, the first 4.000 trees (pinus patula – patula pine or spreading-leaved pine) will be planted, converting, annually, for several decades, 30.000.000 kilos of carbon monoxide in oxygen for 200 people.
First, two pieces of land have been identified, suitable for planting this popular pine variety. One of them will be treated by a school community, the other by local population. This happens under the supervision of TREES ARE LIFE. First of all they have prepared the land to be able to plant the seeds.
Several families manage seedlings in their own garden to obtain the seedlings that later will be planted in the ground.
Students of the collaborating school (I.E. Pakamuros) or in Santa Rosa, locals, with the help of young volunteers, plant the trees. An act that unites and strengthens the local community.
A team of students and local people maintain the trees planted on the land to ensure survival and growth.
